On-Site Commercial Construction Project Manager or General Superintendent

Are you an experienced on-site superintendent or project manager with a minimum of 15 to 20 years of experience managing high quality commercial construction projects? Are you a hands-on superintendent at heart, who knows how to get the job done? Are you also a leader who can communicate with clients and manage subcontractors to ensure we exceed our clients' expectations for quality, schedule and budget? If this sounds like you, we want you on our team!

We have an immediate need for an experienced On-Site Commercial Project Manager or General Superintendent with 15 to 20 years of general superintendent and construction management experience who can travel and who is capable of successfully executing all areas of construction management, including on-site job supervision and subcontractor coordination, daily and monthly reporting, and client meetings and communications. Candidates must possess a unique combination of leadership, people skills, and construction expertise, as well as a track record of success managing commercial construction projects. To be considered for the On-Site Commercial Construction Project Manager or General Superintendent position, candidates must possess the following minimum experience, skills and abilities:

  • EXPERIENCE: 15 to 20 years of on-site commercial construction management experience required (preferably as general superintendent or project manager).
  • EDUCATION: A degree or certification in building construction or related field is preferred.
  • TRAVEL: Ability to travel and live on-site for the duration of each project.
  • COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment interacting with clients, vendors/suppliers, subcontractors, inspectors, and team members at all levels.
  • ORGANIZATION SKILLS: Exceptional organization, time management and scheduling skills, and a proven record of success managing projects through to completion (within projected time and budget constraints).
  • MANAGING TRADES: Capable of managing multiple trades simultaneously to ensure construction is completed per plans and specs, and in compliance with all codes and regulations.
  • PROJECT DOCUMENTATION: Strong project documentation skills, including daily logs, weekly reports, daily pictures, project scheduling (using Microsoft Project), safety meetings, etc.
  • SAFETY: Strong understanding and knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations, as well as all general jobsite safety rules and requirements.
  • MATERIALS/METHODS: Strong construction materials and methods knowledge.
  • COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Project.
  • QUALITY & SERVICE: Must be quality minded, self-motivated and dedicated to customer service and long-term client satisfaction.

Interior Designer

Are you a creative, yet detail-oriented interior designer with 8 to 10 years of commercial experience looking for an opportunity to make a big impact in a smaller firm, where you get to grow your practices in all areas of commercial interior design?

We are looking for a commercial Interior Designer to join our growing team! This exciting position offers excellent professional growth opportunities and requires a dynamic and personable candidate with excellent communication and inter-personal skills, and a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience designing commercial interiors for retail, hospitality, banks, credit unions, and professional/corporate offices.

Candidates must have the ability to execute all phases of the design lifecycle, including design development, construction documents (AutoCAD), millwork drawings and details and furniture specification.

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following minimum experience, skills and abilities:

  • A minimum of 8 years of commercial interior design experience required. Corporate, financial and retail experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design required. NCIDQ preferred.
  • Proven ability to produce complete and precise millwork drawings for fabrication (AutoCAD) of high-end commercial furniture and fixtures.
  • Mastery of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, drawings, and models.
  • Knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and be able to juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact with senior management, external client organizations, vendors and construction managers.
  • Must be quality minded, self-motivated and dedicated to customer service.
  • Proficiency in the basic technical skills of interior design including the following computer skills: 1) Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook; 2) Proficiency in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop required. Revit a plus; and 3) Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup, and InDesign graphic software.

Project Architect

Have you been limited to a specific role at a larger firm? Not here!... We are a small full-service architectural firm (with interior design and construction too!), where you will have the opportunity to expand your experience to include all facets of commercial architecture in a friendly, family-oriented environment with tons of growth potential!

We are looking for a project architect with a minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial architecture to join our growing team! This role is a tremendous career opportunity for an architect who wants to have an integral role in all facets of the design development, construction document and construction administration phases of architecture, and will contribute to significant project activities including but not limited to:

  • Schematic design (hand drawing, AutoCAD LT, 3D modeling)
  • Design development drawings (AutoCAD LT);
  • Scopes of work (Word/Excel);
  • Construction drawings (AutoCAD LT);
  • Specifications (BSD SpecLink);
  • Coordination of outsourced exterior renderings (contract and work product);
  • Coordination with internal design-build team members, including account managers, interior designers, estimators, construction/project managers, etc.;
  • Client meetings and presentations; and
  • Coordination of engineers (contracts and work product).

  • At least 10 years of similar architectural project experience required (similar in scope to what has been described above). Corporate, financial and retail experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s (B.Arch) or Master’s (M.Arch) degree in Architecture.

Construction Administration & Office Assistant

We are looking for a highly detailed, organized, and proactive individual to join our growing team in the role of Construction Administration & Office Assistant. This position is an integral part of our multidisciplinary team, with wide-ranging responsibilities, including supporting the firm’s four partners, assisting with general office administration, and helping our construction team with contract administration, among others.

A successful candidate must have the ability to multitask, meet critical deadlines, and provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders, which include customers, vendors and fellow employees. A cooperative, friendly manner and enthusiastic team ethic is crucial.

Some more specific responsibilities will include:

Construction/Contract Administration:

  • Assist with various construction/contract administration tasks, including preparing contracts and purchase orders, following up on insufficient contract informatoin, reviewing subcontractor payment applications and invoices, preparing weekly payables packages for construction projects, and assisting in the close-out of completed projects.

Office Administration:

  • Reception duties, including answering phones and being point of contact for clients and vendors
  • Help manage vendor relationships, copier, IT, landlord, cleaning and other services
  • Order/manage office supplies
  • Office postage and shipping, including distribution of incoming mail
  • Assist with event planning
  • Assist with printing/assembling/distribution of sales collateral
  • Assist with hosting/hospitality of guests in office
  • Maintain company calendar, and facilitate weekly company-wide coordination meeting
  • Assist with data entry and accounts payable, as needed
  • Support and assist executive management, as needed

Marketing Assistant

We are searching for a Marketing Assistant to join our growing team, and help with in-house and client focused branding and marketing efforts, including:

  • Social media, direct mail, and email marketing campaigns;
  • Graphic design for advertisements, websites, custom signage and wall graphics, logos, and more;
  • Updating and writing copy for press releases, website information, sales collateral, advertisements and sales presentations;
  • Updating WordPress website;
  • Coordination and scheduling of tradeshows/exhibit and other events, as well as occasional attendance at tradeshows/exhibits/events;
  • Coordination of client entertainment and gifts;
  • Design and procurement of project signage and building dedication plaques;
  • Assistance with client groundbreakings and grand openings, and related announcements; and
  • Coordination of architectural photography, and attendance at photo shoots.

This position is full-time and will be located in our Suwanee, GA headquarters (Johns Creek area). Appriximately 10% to 15% travel is required.

To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following experience, skills and abilities:

  • A 4-year degree is required, preferably in communications, marketing, journalism, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience. Experience marketing commercial architecture, interior design, and/or construction-related services a plus.
  • A serve-first approach to relationships with coworkers, vendors and clients, and a devotion to high quality customer service.
  • Exceptional organization, time management, communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe PhotoShop and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
  • CRM and email marketing software experience preferred (Sage ACT! a plus)..
  • WordPress experience preferred.
  • Some travel required.
